At the Cooking School we’re really passionate about food! We want to share our food ethos with people who care about what they eat; whether it’s to learn simple cooking techniques, cooking for fun, or learning to cook everyday Indian food as eaten by real Indian families.
Our philosophy is to create food that is hand made, using high quality fresh ingredients, free from artificial additives, colours and preservatives.
We started out 3 years ago to provide highly original, truly authentic Indian food usually eaten by Indian families but with a modern twist for a new highly discerning market. Since then we have grown to become one of the foremost caterers and cooking academies in London and the south east.
To date we’ve grown organically through recommendation ‘which pretty much sums us up’. We place a premium on client relations, reputation is our biggest asset.
We don’t compromise our values and we don’t expect our clients to!
Kumud Gandhi is the founder and Managing Director of The Saffron House. She is a real connoisseur of food and continually strives to deliver the best in quality and nutritional value whilst capturing the imagination of taste.
She has embarked on food experimentation and specialised training as a result has developed a range of recipes that originate from the beautiful coastal region of the Gujarat in India. Kumud has worked extensively with London South Bank University in the design and innovation of recipes.
