Corporate team building events
The Corporate cookery challenge is a team building or party activity with a difference. Through cuisine, our program provides an opportunity for teams to work together in a totally different environment yet be competitive in a fun way.
Cooking in collaboration fosters a great new way of learning, especially for those individuals who don’t naturally work within a team framework. This challenge presents a common goal – to cook a three-course meal for their dinner. The art of cooking is ‘hand-on’ and this environment quickly breaks down barriers to develop team spirit and identify new and hidden skills within work groups.
We have a variety of challenges that are designed to work with our clients’ requirements, timescales and budget. Our cookery events can be tailored to suit certain occupations or client interests; and can be held at hotels or venues throughout the country and can be held as a one day team building event or as an evening event alongside a conference, company dinner or entertainment.
Ready Steady Cook
The challenge of this event is to replicate what delegates have seen demonstrated by one of our chefs. Each team member is responsible for one component part of their meal which they must put together as a team. The team will cook their component parts and then host their own lunch/dinner party, complete with a dinner setting to a 5* star hotel all of which will be assessed and judged by our supporting chefs.
The programme
The event will start with an introduction to the use of herbs and spices in cooking. Then the chefs will go on to demonstrate each dish on the menu. The group will be split into teams and when the clock starts the teams must replicate what they have just seen our chefs create. The teams will effectively have to work together and help each other to produce the meal to be enjoyed as a team effort.
During the demonstration the chefs will give lots of useful advice and cooking hints and tips so that they are to draw from their experience.
Ingredients and all necessary equipment are provided and our chefs and staff are on hand throughout the time to help out as necessary.
Our events also include master classes in canapés for entertaining, cocktail making, whiskey dinners.
